[jira] Created: (TOMAHAWK-511) Getting the Sandbox library

Getting the Sandbox library
---------------------------

         Key: TOMAHAWK-511
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TOMAHAWK-511
     Project: MyFaces Tomahawk
        Type: Wish

    Versions: 1.1.3
    Reporter: RD

Because there is no downloadable Sandbox library on the MyFaces website, I asked Mario Ivankovits how do I get it.

The process is:

mkdir build
svn checkout
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/myfaces/maven/branches/1_0_3 maven
cd maven
mvn install
cd ..
svn checkout
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/myfaces/tomahawk/branches/1_1_3 tomahawk
cd tomahawk/sandbox
mvn install

I should then find the sandbox jar in the maven repository, which is in the home-directory/.m2.

However, I haven't found it. Does anyone know what it is called and where do I get it?

RD commented on TOMAHAWK-511:
-----------------------------

I have downloaded tomahawk-1.1.5-SNAPSHOT-bin.zip and tomahawk-sandbox-1.1.5-SNAPSHOT-bin.zip from http://people.apache.org/builds/myfaces/nightly/ and the deployment seems to be running without problems.

Thank you for the solution.

Mario Ivankovits commented on TOMAHAWK-511:
-------------------------------------------

The latest release is 1.1.3, the 1.1.4 branch is the upcoming release (so you can use this)
on the trunk we work on 1.1.5 (which might be usable too)

Personally I think its nothing bad using/trying the nightly - means, no hassle with the build for you ;-) just grab the nightly (including sandbox)

RD reopened TOMAHAWK-511:
-------------------------

I haven't noticed any error message at mvn install yesterday, but I will do everything again today, just to be sure...

What I need is the last stable version of Sandbox+Tomahawk. Which version should I download then?

Catalin Kormos commented on TOMAHAWK-511:
-----------------------------------------

I'm not sure if you're looking for the sandbox library corresponding to an already released version of Tomahawk, if not, you can find the binaries for the sandbox in the nightly builds: http://people.apache.org/builds/myfaces/nightly/ ( tomahawk-sandbox-x.x.x-SNAPSHOT-bin.zip)

HTH,
Catalin

-------------------------------------------

I already suggested the nightly stuff, but it looks like, this is no option.

Is there any error during/at the end of "mvn install"?

Matthias path is correct, just adjust the last directory with the version you trying to build
