Contexts; how to use properly?
I'm having a very hard time understanding contexts and how to use them
properly. It could be that our setup is too peculiar, in which case I'm
going to have to find another machine and set up a sole web server there...
And yet, it seems like this should work. It's basic Apache stuff.
I've found virtually no information on contexts (e.g.: the Tomcat/Apache
HOWTO, which is very concise, and some high-level descriptive at Sun). Is
there more? For example:
The HOWTO states that adding a new context is done via:
ApJservMount /<context> /root
This doesn't seem to do anything. I've tried a number of different patterns.
I've also tried the more complex approach. The instructions don't seem to
jibe with the results. For instance, I can edit server.xml to contain a new
context; that seems to be the only step that is required and that works. Yet
the HOWTO goes on about using ApJservMount, etc.
Any assistance or pointers to more information appreciated.
