Jetspeed with database connectivity

I've been looking for references and help in newsgroups and other websites for the past couple of weeks. Looking for information or documentation of how to use and set up the Poll Portlet. Has anyone successfully compiled and used this Portlet? The other question I need to ask is how does one connect to a database through a portlet? I have been trying to look for examples, but either I have not grasp the whole concept of Jetspeed or there is more to Jetspeed like the use of turbine/velocity that I don't know much about...

Is there some simple straight-foward examples of how to connect to a database?

How admin can mange users screens

Posted by Xavier Michel <xm...@cstahiti.com>.
Hi every one,

I try to find a solution to manage a screen user's when I'm login like
admin.

When I read the source code of PortletController, ControllerAction,
PortletControl, ControlAction (like Customize...), all the customisation is
base on the longin user.

If we use the direct path to see an user screen (like
http://localhost:8080/jetspeed/portal/user/turbine) and you try to use the
customisation ... this customize the admin screen.

I'm afraid to revrite PortletController, ControllerAction, PortletControl,
ControlAction and the Customiser screens to get the behaviour.

Some body tried to get this type feature?

Thanks by advance

Xa.

We created the hsql database for it, but no farther. I expect I am
working on jvote on sourceforge.. As we speak... so it really is what we
thought the poll portlet is... if you want to help... contact me.
