[~prasanth_j] hi, I am interested with this feature. And have you test the accurate of the estimation in plan phase, such as filter and join operator? Thanks for your share!

> HIVE-5921 estimates the basic statistics (row count/data size) if its not available in metastore. It will be better to have a flag which says if the statistics is estimated value or accurate value from metastore. Also basic statistics state will no longer be useful since even in worst case the state will be COMPLETE because of estimation.
