xhtml template null pointer problem

Please Ignore me.

A classic case of RTFM.

For the benefit of anyone else who doesn't RTFM like me.

My problems were caused by having an incorrect <map:part 
src="resources/templates/xhtml.html"/> in my publication-sitemap.xmap
