[Bug 7714] New: Delist demand : spamsources.fabel.dk

https://bz.apache.org/SpamAssassin/show_bug.cgi?id=7714

            Bug ID: 7714
           Summary: Delist demand : spamsources.fabel.dk
           Product: Spamassassin
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Windows NT
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: spamassassin
          Assignee: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
          Reporter: stephane.faure1972@laposte.net
  Target Milestone: Undefined

Hello,

We have a problem with the emails of our company (IP address of our dedicated
server : 37.187.156.22) due to the spamsources.fabel.dk blacklist.

We have been put on that list and exclusively on that list whereas we don't
practice SPAM and being very carreful not to be considered as spammers.

I tried to delist our IP address from this blacklist, but spamsources.fabel.dk
does not answer.

If this website is running on its own without anybody reacheable, this website
is very dangerous. Could you tell us how to get access to them or how to delist
this list from the list of blacklist used ?

Best regards for your answer.

Stéphane FAURE

The Apache SpamAssassin Project has no relationship of any kind with that
blacklist.

The default ruleset for SpamAssassin does not check that blacklist and there is
no testing rule for it in our RuleQA system, so the SpamAssassin Project has
nothing to do with whatever problems this is causing you. It is possible for
any user of SpamAssasin to create their own rules to check any blacklist as
they see fit, which is not within our ability to control.

The Apache SpamAssassin Project DOES NOT distribute any recommendation or
configuration to use that blacklist and as far as I can tell we NEVER have
referenced it in any way. I was personally unaware of it until today, despite
25 years fighting spam.

You may find it useful to address your "demand" to whoever is actually refusing
to deliver your mail. I would advise that if you do so, using the word "demand"
is probably not going to be helpful.

You am y also be able to find an audience familiar with that blacklist on the
SpamAssassin Users mailing list, where such an inquiry would be marginally
on-topic.
