on http://jackrabbit.apache.org/jcr/mailing-lists.html there are 3 links pointing to the site ezmlm.org, which are supposed to point to documentation for subscription/unsubscription.

Looks like ezmlm has changed the owner (and the content); I don't think that these links are still useful. We should drop them. IMO the documentation at http://www.apache.org/foundation/mailinglists.html for subscription/unsubscription is sufficient.
