Compile Error

I am getting the following compiler error when trying to compile the 
source code. 

g++ -D_HP_UX -DXERCES_TMPLSINC -DHPUX11 +DAportable +eh +Z -Z +a1 +d 
-ptr/tmp/xerces-c-src2_2_0/obj/HPUX/ptrepository -c 
-I/tmp/xerces-c-src2_2_0/include -w -O -DXML_USE_NATIVE_TRANSCODER 
-DXML_USE_INMEM_MESSAGELOADER -DXML_USE_PTHREADS 
-DXML_USE_NETACCESSOR_SOCKET    -o 
/tmp/xerces-c-src2_2_0/obj/HPUX/Base64.o Base64.cpp
g++: cannot specify -o with -c or -S and multiple compilations
gmake[1]: *** [Base64.o] Error 1

Any suggestions what its complaining about ??
