Case sensitivity issue with JIRA IDs

For those of you using JIRA at http://nagoya.apache.org/jira to watch or
modify Xalan bugs and issues, please take note that user IDs seem to be
case sensitive.

I've just had the experience that someone with a JIRA ID like this one:
firstname_lastname@dummy.org
was also able to log on with Firstname_Lastname@dummy.org.

They were able to enter the mixed case ID and log onto the lower case
account but later on they did not have all the authority that they
expected. They were in a developer group but when working with an issue,
the "Operations" available were those of someone who was not in that
developer group.

Be careful.
