Solr 4.2 - DocValues on id field

Hi,

The example schema.xml in Solr 4.2 does not define "id" field
as docValues=true.
Any good reason? (other than backward compat for index for previous
version...)

If my common case is fl=id (and no other field), DocValues is classic for
me. Am I right?
