[jira] [Commented] (MESOS-95) Add performance tests

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MESOS-95?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13814347#comment-13814347 ]

Benjamin Mahler commented on MESOS-95:
--------------------------------------

An easy way out here could be to introduce a "{{make bench}}" target that builds and runs a separate benchmarking binary. We can re-use google test in the short term rather than using a benchmarking framework.

I've added a benchmark [here|https://reviews.apache.org/r/15226/] but I'd like to not leave it disabled so I may take the approach I described above at some point.

> There should be performance tests (especially of the master) so we can tell when new features introduce performance regressions.
