DO NOT REPLY [Bug 50938] New: machine code getting served from
Apache2.2.3
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=50938
Summary: machine code getting served from Apache2.2.3
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.3-HEAD
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: All
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: uber.third@gmail.com
Hi,
I have Server version: Apache/2.2.3 running on
Linux 2.6.18-53.1.13.el5xen #1 SMP Mon Feb 11 13:41:50 EST 2008 x86_64 x86_64
x86_64 GNU/Linux machine. It has mod_deflate.c module of 2.2.17 version. Apache
server is reverse-proxing the request which is served by another tomcat server.
All the business logic is running in tomcat server(separate machine). Apache2
is inflating, running bunch of regex replacement and deflating it back.
This machine is under high load. I see that our 0.6% of response are severed
as machine code to browser(shown below). Under low load on separate server we
don't see this issue. To me it looks like that it's server two sets of HTTP
headers. Is this issue fixed in later version of Apache release like 2.2.17.
Does upgrade helps here.

Unless you have reproduced this problem using unmodified 2.2.17 sources please
report it to your distribution vendor rather than here.
