illegal character with struts-validator.war

I try the link "JavaScript Type Form" in struts-validator.war with tomcat
v3.3.1a : I get a error message in Javascript console with Mozilla (1.5) :
illegal Character. If I check the source there are effectively some illegal
characters. Then of course the javascript control doesn't work.
