[jira] Resolved: (HADOOP-4203) implement LineReader (ie Text) Serialization/Serializer/Deserializer

Pete Wyckoff resolved HADOOP-4203.

Fair enough. I was opening it for the (unpopular) idea of the generic RecordReader for anything implementing the Serialization framework. i.e., RecordReader<V>/RecordReader<Serialization<K>, Serialization<V>> { } . Of course, I didn't know much about Generics at the time and now see it is impossible to implement since one cannot do a new K() or new V(). Without that, one would have to rely on the Serialization implementation for getting the class which is also not popular.
