Revisiting inclusion of startup scripts in exe distro?

Hi,
Over the past few months I've gotten a good number of complaints that
the 5.5 exe distro doesn't include the command-line startup scripts.
I know we've discussed this in the past, as I pointed out to users on
http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=33560. But I've
sort of come around on this, as in my own work I frequently end up
getting both the exe and the zip to have those command-line scripts
sometimes.

So I'd like to add back the command-line startup scripts to the exe
distro. It's not a lot of work, just some build.xml tweaking, but I
wanted to say it here first since this has been -1'ed in the past, and
see if people are now more amenable to it.

Nothing else would be changed in the other distros...

+1 The few bytes saved aren't worth the hassle they have caused and
there are clearly use cases for it.
