Subversion and WebDAV support in Eclipse WTP

Hi,

I am working on the Eclipse Web Tools Platform (WTP) project (see
<http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/>. This project aims to develop
Web/J2EE development tools for Eclipse. These tools will be part of the
standard branch, and defined above the core Eclipse platform.

Under WTP discussion is the WebDAV support. Here are summarized the
arguments in the comments section in account:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=74040

At the moment, no working group has yet started on this topic. But we
are currently thinking about it.

As Subversion can use the HTTP-based WebDAV/DeltaV protocol for network
communications, I was wondering if Subversion team could possibly be
interested in assisting with work on WebDAV.

Tell me. Thanks.

Regards,
Dominique

If you want some help, I could probably arrange some assistance. If not
myself, then I know a few other folks who are WebDAV/DeltaV saavy who use
Eclipse on a regular basis.

There are still some things that Subversion does that are sketchy w.r.t.
DeltaV, so there'd likely have to be some fixes on the Subversion end of
things.

Please contact me off-list if you're still interested. -- justin
