How to deploy a WAR file on tomcat

Hi,
After posting this question a couple of days back, i've been through
lots of mails in the archive. I've 'search'ed through the new search
engine there, but couldn't find an answer.

some one please tell me how to deploy a WAR file on tomcat. Is it
necessary that i've to unjar a war to deploy or straight deployment is
supported. If yes, how? Also,Is it supported on 3.0/3.1m1/not at all/not
yet?

Thanks a lot,
harish

In tomcat 3.1 drop the war file into webapps - it will be expanded and
installed automagically,
