[Bug 123180] Inadequate documentation to continue where libreoffice has symlink soffice set up

The solution is: open a terminal and type

$ sudo mv /usr/bin/soffice /usr/bin/soffice.libreoffice

but then you might have to adjust the LibreOffice menus (probably you won't
have to, but this depends on the distributions). For this reason we don't
provide an explicit solution in the wiki, since the exact workaround may depend
on what distribution you are using.

forum: http://forum.openoffice.org ; you will find plenty of guides on how to
deal with this problem there.
