I'm not sure there are other statuses but I'm not familiar with the internals of the code base and don't want to spend too much time on this.
Suffice it to say, there should be different statuses reflecting the true condition of Drill, see DRILL-6406 and DRILL-5990, and they should be clearly documented.
Right now if "Running" is the only thing that the /status API will ever output then under what conditions would say /status be blank or return 404 or 500?
