Is it a requirement that the users get geocoded? There is no search in my area functionality, but this is easy to add.

 I assumed that it was a requirement; but I didn't find a use-case that 
needs a users' location.  I'll leave it to Shanti to comment on this 
since it involves parity across platforms.
