[users@httpd] server not outputing most mime types

Hi, firstly im not sure if i'm posting to the correct address but here is my
dilemma...

I have spent the passed 5 or so days building and re-building apache2.0.* on
redhat 7.1p6, 7.1p12 & RH-8. All builds have resulted in the same problem;
in that all html, css and images (unless delivered via serverside script
'php') won't output to the client. Instead i get blank documents (with a
header and empty contents) for html or red X for images after they have
timed out. The time in which they time-out can be shortened by disabling
AlwaysLive.

When looking in the error_log, all items that did not appear are showing as
200, as if they where correctly delivered.

I have checked chmod group and owner permissions and all are ok. I have
tried various options when ./configure'ing the build, including disabling
dav and enabling so (for later php build).

The only pages that appear to display to the client are those in php.

Does anybody know what it is that i am doing wrong?

Many thanks in advance for any sudgestions.

I have no idea what that last sentence means.

Anyway, can you give us a real live URL that we can look at ourselves?

Joshua.
