[Pull request|https://github.com/apache/struts-examples/pull/1] is submitted. Actually, not many changes, in order to keep simple the example. 

However, I'll be proposing subtask in order to, continuing this example, create a full-fledged professional case. I mean, I believe there should be a simple CRUD example and tutorial, like this one, and, continuing over it, a different, sophisticated, one.

*    SUBTASK Fully i18e application: database text data; static text in jsp; validation.xml; links for locales.
*    SUBTASK Definitely, improve 'country' implementation
*    SUBTASK add jetty and tomcat plugins to pom.xml

*    SUBTASK spring, db, orm, modeldriven, abstract crud action
*    SUBTASK upgrade logging to sl4j?
