[jira] [Updated] (CAY-894) CM Usability: Welcome Screen (Panel)

Maik Musall updated CAY-894:
----------------------------
    Attachment: welcome.afphoto
                welcome.psd

I always had trouble finding the right one of my recent projects on the modeler's startup screen because their paths were always cut off. Turns out it's sufficient to make the welcome.jpg wider to fix that. I didn't bother recreating the background patterns in the image though, because I'm not a graphics geek, hope that's ok.

I'm attaching the artwork files for this change here to be included in the svn repo. I used Affinity photo, so the .afphoto file is the original, and the .psd an export of it.

> Add a Welcome Screen (Panel) to CM when no Project is open.
> This makes any application look professional, and it gives new users confidence (in contrast to a big blank green screen), and it's of course all about the "first impression" :).
> This method is practiced even by IDEs (Eclipse, IntelliJ, but also by any desktop application that wants to look professional, e.g. "http://www.productiveme.com/doc/tutorial/1.png" )
