[jira] Commented: (TS-244) FreeBSD needs -lexecinfo ?

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TS-244?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12844617#action_12844617 ]

Leif Hedstrom commented on TS-244:
----------------------------------

It seems the package libexecinfo-1.1_3 is installed by default, providing this interface. I'm guessing a solution could also be to uninstall this package :).

> It seems on FBSD (v8 at least), that you need to link in libexecinfo (so, -lexecinfo) in order to get the backtrace_symbols_fd() symbol. This probably needs to be associated with the check for the existance of execinfo.h.
