Summary: An additional line in the openssl instructions would be
helpful
Product: Apache httpd-2.0
Version: 2.0.44
Platform: PC
URL: http://httpd.apache.org/docs-
2.0/platform/win_compiling.html
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Minor
Priority: Other
Component: Documentation
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: mightypile@hotmail.com
I've found several people in newsgroups who have had the same error trying to
compile the openssl code under Visual C++ and WinNT (different flavors from NT
to XP). In each case, running "perl Configure VC-WIN32" caused the problem to
go away. I thought it would be helpful to add this line to the instructions
on your page since this is where I started and where I ran into the problem.
Thanks,
Mike Schmidt
