[HttpComponents] Web site deployment & migration to Jira
Folks,
If I hear no complaints I intend to deploy the HttpComponents web site
to jakarta.apache.org and to ask infrastructure folks to initiate the
migration process of HttpClient / HttpComponents issue tracking from
Bugzilla to Jira on Wednesday March 15th 13:00 GMT.

Done. It will take a little while for the changes to propagate to the
live site.

Thanks, Mike.
I believe you are the only one among us with commit access to the
jakarta/site. Could you please review and apply this patch to make
references to HttpComponents site appear on the Jakarta front page?

Absolutely. The trouble is we are already using Maven2 for building the
HttpComponents web site.

Well, that makes it even more fun, does not it? ;-)
I'll look into that tomorrow.

Hi,
I'd like to ask if you would consider adopting a common website design
style (CSS) with jakarta-commons. The aim would be to, over time, get
all maven built jakarta groups using the same style. This would be part
of the process of jakarta becoming one community.
You can see the design here:
http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/lang/
http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/io/
http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/primitives/
(focus on the css, not the project details!)
These all share a single CSS stylesheet which overrides the maven
default colour scheme. This is achieved by adding the following
project.css file:
@import url("http://jakarta.apache.org/style/jakarta-maven.css")
See http://wiki.apache.org/jakarta-commons/MavenWebsiteStucture for more
details (including parts that don't affect this group). Note that this
has been tested with maven 1 so there may be some work to do for maven 2.
BTW, you could still update the website on Wed and agree this later.
