[C1] Cocoon 1 development
Does anyone know the current status of Cocoon 1 development? Is it
continuing, postponed, or ended in favor of Cocoon 2? The change history
references 1.8.3-dev, but that has a date of June 2001. Will there be a
final release of 1.8.3?

My understanding is that no _new_ development is being done on Cocoon version 1.x.
All that you can expect are bug fix releases. Cocoon is ready for version 2,
and it is become a better tool all the time.
