Ahmar Suhail updated HADOOP-18230:
----------------------------------
Description: [https://github.com/apache/hadoop/pull/4294] introduces changes to drain the stream asynchronously. [https://github.com/apache/hadoop/pull/2584] introduced ASYNC_DRAIN_THRESHOLD, use this value to decide when to drain asynchronously. This can be done once the prefetching branch has been rebased. (was: [https://github.com/apache/hadoop/pull/4294] introduces changes to drain the stream asynchronously. We've also recently introduced[ ASYNC_DRAIN_THRESHOLD|https://github.com/apache/hadoop/blob/trunk/hadoop-tools/hadoop-aws/src/main/java/org/apache/hadoop/fs/s3a/Constants.java#L612], we should use this to decide when to drain asynchronously. )
