Offline translation feature
Dear Sirs and Madams,
Basically, have to emphasize your great job and tool and to say thank you!
Please want to avoid or to deal with Microsoft and Google. Is there any way in your application that allow to translate in German written letter into English?
Thanks in advance!
René

Without knowing what operating system you are using it is a bit of a
challenge to make a recommendation for an offline translator
application. If you do an internet search for 'Open source offline
translator for [your OS]' several selections will come up. At least one
works with ".odt" files. If you change your default search engine to
something other than go ogle or bi ng (I prefer DuckDuckGo) you will get
better results that aren't skewed to Alphabet or M$ products.
As a courtesy to you I have sent a copy of this message to you. As a

Translation is best dealt with by a specialised application. Many of us have found that
https://www.deepl.com/translator
offers a good on-line translation to and from many languages, frequently better than the other translators you mention. Simply copy your text into the input in that application and select your output language.
There may of course be other translation applications of equal or better efficiency, but the above is the one I have found to be best at time of writing (November 2022)
