--- Comment #5 from Per Jessen <pe...@computer.org> 2008-11-07 10:32:40 PST ---
I don't know if this is the right place to add this, but here we go: with perl
5.10 and SA 3 2.5, I see quite a few of these every day:

spamd[19550]: logger: try using --syslog-socket={unix,inet} or --syslog=file
spamd[12114]: logger: try using --syslog-socket={unix,inet} or --syslog=file
spamd[22504]: logger: try using --syslog-socket={unix,inet} or --syslog=file
spamd[22505]: logger: try using --syslog-socket={unix,inet} or --syslog=file
spamd[17188]: logger: try using --syslog-socket={unix,inet} or --syslog=file
spamd[20429]: logger: try using --syslog-socket={unix,inet} or --syslog=file
spamd[11944]: logger: try using --syslog-socket={unix,inet} or --syslog=file
spamd[16320]: logger: try using --syslog-socket={unix,inet} or --syslog=file
spamd[15499]: logger: try using --syslog-socket={unix,inet} or --syslog=file
spamd[18960]: logger: try using --syslog-socket={unix,inet} or --syslog=file
spamd[1659]: logger: try using --syslog-socket={unix,inet} or --syslog=file

I can't see any "logger: syslog failed:" messages, which I don't understand.

Let me know if the above is totally unrelated to this issue, and I'll open a
separate report.
