Geode + OSGi (Apache Felix, etc)

What is the best strategy if you're deploying to a single OSGi container 
multiple OSGi apps that need Geode or GF cluster access?  I'm using Karaf 
which uses the Apache Felix OSGi container.  Is there some way to conserve 
resources by making the OSGi container join the cluster and pass along 
that shared resource to the apps in the container?
