Re: ROOT login

Can you show the section of your JAMES.conf.xml file where you set the root password? Make sure the password meets the minimum requirements stated in the conf file.

  Subject: ROOT login

  Hi All!

I'm just getting starting on JAMES, but the static friction seems too large ...

While trying to login as root (after telnet localhost 4555), I get a login failed message: Here's the dump:

    JAMES RemoteAdministration Tool 1.2
Please enter your login and password
    Login failed for root

Any suggestion why this is happening.

Also, I guessed that the loader for James is in the Avalon package. Y/N? But I can't seem to find the correct source. Would anyone know where this can be found?

  Thanks in advance,
  AC
