Re: {SPAM 04.3} Project Website Moved

Perhaps we should simply add an automatic-redirect from the old site
to the new site?

Hi Niklas,

Thanks very much for the pointer - it was quite helpful. I'll change the
cron job as soon as I can.

Cheers,

Les

Not the easiest to find, but here it is:
http://cwiki.apache.org/CWIKI

It explains how to set up the cron job that publishes the site. Of
course, you should look into removing the cron job which currently
exports to incubator.apache.org/jsecurity.

It's a file system which is mounted on several servers. people.a.o is
what committers would normally use to get to the file system. Before
getting "live", the file on that file system will be replicated to
mirrors, a task that might take a few hours. So, have patience when
editing the site :-)

I wasn't doing that just yet because the JavaDoc is not available on the new
site just yet. Plus I thought to leave it up for archival purposes for a
while - there is enough information in the forums that is still considered
helpful, at least until a proper user manual exists.

Also, Mentors, how do I turn on the site export such that
http://incubator.apache.org/ki is the exported CWIKI?

Is there a page somewhere in Apache land that tells how to perform all of
this cwiki stuff (export, page templates, etc)? It seems a very roundabout
way to find out all of these things by asking folks.

Of course there are pages like this one (
http://tuscany.apache.org/tuscany-cwiki-website-structure.html) that explain
things, but I was looking for a more authoritative document in Apache's
infrastructure. Does such a thing exist?

Also, is my best bet to get JavaDoc up on the new website to publish it to
people.apache.org? That sounds a little odd - I would assume it would be on
the same server that hosts the exported websites...

Thanks for pointers!

Cheers,

Les
