Hold off on commits for about a half-hour please.

I'm checking out code to make the 3rd alpha. I would really like to just
extract it and compile it once before I tag.

I'll send e-mail as soon as I'm done.

Thanks,

Ryan

Okay, commits are back on. I have already tag'ed, so feel free to commit
away. Expect the alpha to be on the site in a few hours.

As I said, it's an alpha!!! If they are 6.0 files this time
around, so be it... I'll check it out once you have released it :-)

RE: Hold off on commits for about a half-hour please.

What am I supposed to do with the VC 5.0 files? I assumed we would
provide one or the other, not both. They are named the same thing as the
6.0 files I have already created and moved to the tarball, so putting both
in is not possible.

I assume 6.0 can still read 5.0 Makefiles, so do we just want to use the
5.0 .mak files?

I am going to lunch, can the Windows developers please tell me which .mak
files to include in the next hour or so, so that when I get back from
lunch I can finish and actually get the alpha out and get back to
coding. :-)

No... you miss the point... don't stop, finish what you are doing,
drop in the .mak files, and voila, you are ready to roll.

.mak files will not be part of the tree, only part of the distribution.

I'll do this after the alpha is released. I've started, so stopping now
is kind of annoying to do, because it mucks us the alpha numbering
scheme. :-)

Ryan, true to our earlier comments, can you load the Apache.dsw
workspace in your VC6, click "Project - Export Makefile", select
all projects and volia?

It's an alpha, after, all, and I test out the result make files
from the tarball to find if they are usable in 5.0. I am really
rather curious to find out how different 5.0/6.0 make files are
anyway.

By the way, don't save the workspace or projects, and be sure
you delete Apache.opt when you are done.
