How to merge the Numerical Filter and Trend components

Hi,
I am trying to implement a component with the numeric filter functionality and then perform the Trend on the filtered value.
I can't figure out where to put the numeric filter operation, in the Trend component, since there is no onEvent method.
Can you help me?

Also I would like to ask you, if it is possible to have an explanation of how the Trend works.

Hi Michele,
the Trend component uses the Siddhi wrapper. This wrapper generates Siddhi EPL [1] to detect an increase/decrease over a certain time. We provide some convenience functions to generate the EPL (see the processors in the streampipes-processors-siddhi module).
There is also an example for a numerical filter which might be helpful in case you want to merge these two features into a single component.
