Strata+Hadoop World

Tyler and I did a Beam tutorial at Strata+Hadoop World. It was 3 hours long
and covered some of the basics of windowing and triggers.

We had 66 people in attendance. That's a really good attendance given the
newness of Beam. We demonstrated the Spark, Flink, Direct and DataFlow
runners.

The code and slides are up on my GitHub repository
<https://github.com/eljefe6a/beamexample/tree/master/BeamTutorial>. We even
had exercises and sample solutions you can do on your own.

Thanks,

Jesse

That's great!

Hadar is just starting to work [1][2] on porting over the example
walkthroughs from the original Dataflow documentation -- both the word
count series and the mobile gaming one used in the tutorial. One of the
things she'll need community help on is adding the instructions for running
these on all runners. I'm guessing a lot of the lessons from the tutorial
will be helpful here.
