Publishing to a topic

I am successfully publishing messages to a topic, this is received by all
clients connected to the broker and are subscribed to that topic.  

Unfortunately the client publishing the message is also receiving the
message (it is subscribed to the topic as other clients may also be sending
this topic).  Is there any way to stop ActiveMQ sending a message back to
the sender of the message?
