HDFS documentation

Hi,
I am a new user for HDFS. I tried to understand the documentation given 
on the website but I am not able to get most of the things.
Is there any complete or more elaborated documentation for HDFS 
configuration?
If anyone has their configuration notes that can be shared, it would be 
great.
