amazon ec2

hi all!
I am thinking of running ofbiz in amazon ec2.
Anyone has idea how I deploy it? is it the same like in other "normal"
hosting, where I get root id ?
And how about the cost?
I plan to run it 24/7, read the pricing scheme of amazon and my first
feeling is it could be more expensive than normal hosting.
Anyone can share their experiences?

thanks before !!!

best regards,
Johnson Chandra

Read you were going to put informacion about Amazon ec2, is it still
available some where?

Iam trying to choose a right AMI but don't know which.
I choosed the one the the old doc in opentaps says , but my surprise is
that is too old and Amazon can not generate invoices and can not be stopped
without loosing the information.

Many thanks

hi all,

sorry no reply from me, guess I miss it.
I am currently trying to build ofbiz from scratch using the amazon-linux ami
image, and would like to contribute to ofbiz-wiki.
should I put it in Misc - Technical ?

Jaya,

You can also use Amazon RDS as your datastore, it helps to use apache and
mod_ajp to front your ofbiz installation once you have it running in EC2.

Good luck!
