[jira] [Created] (TRAFODION-387) LP Bug: 1331349 - The throughput
doesn't increase if multiple mxosrvrs are connected
Alice Chen created TRAFODION-387:
------------------------------------
Summary: LP Bug: 1331349 - The throughput doesn't increase if multiple mxosrvrs are connected
Key: TRAFODION-387
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TRAFODION-387
Project: Apache Trafodion
Issue Type: Bug
Components: connectivity-dcs
Reporter: Jian Jin
Assignee: Daniel Lu
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 0.9 (pre-incubation)
IceWall’s regression was runing against Trafodion workstation instance with 16 DCS servers. Throughput was 550 hits/second. Surprisingly if only 1 DCS server is opened, the throughput remains same. We tried changing all sorts of IceWall configuration but it didn’t help. It was suggested that somehow Trafodion makes only 1 connection available for IceWall’s regression tool and rest of the connections are not used. Changing IceWall configuration to use more DB connections should increase throughput but it remains same. After investigation it was confirmed that all configured connections are used.
It doesn't seem to be a DCS/mxosrver issue but still need to check why the throughput doesn’t increase if mxosrvrs are doubled.
