It seems there is a thread safety issue in :
{code:java}
protected void RollOverTime(bool fileIsOpen){code}
Where the file can be closed outside of a critical section allowing another thread to attempt to write data on a closed file handle leading to this err:

log4net:ERROR [FileAppender] Attempted to append to closed appender named [].{code}
