BugZilla setup

Does anyone know how to set up BugZilla for Avalon?
I would like to set up the choices to reflect our
current releases.

Berin,

I've added these versions for Avalon. I don't think Bugzilla supports
versioned components.
This should work, though.

I would like to set up with version numbers. The thing is that
the different sub projects all have different version numbers.

LogKit pre-beta, 1.0b1, 1.0b2
Framework pre-beta, 4.0b1, 4.0b2, 4.0b3
Excalibur pre-beta, 4.0b1, 4.0b2, 4.0b3
Cornerstone pre-beta
Phoenix pre-beta
Testlet pre-beta

That way, when people create new bug reports they will make sense
as to the version in question.

Berin,
I've setup Bugzilla for Avalon with each subproject (Excalibur,
Framework, Phoenix & Cornerstone) as bugzilla components.

What do you want to change?
Let me know, I have admin rights.

No, that's a drawback of BugZilla... And that's why we're waiting for Scarab
to get along (October should be final). All you can do is make your versions
with COMPONENT_VERSION but nobody forbids a bug to be in ComponentA and with
version ComponentB_1.0...

BugZilla SUCKS! :) (but there's no better alternative right now...)

Pier,

Does Bugzilla support versioned components?

Avalon has multiple sub-projects, each with its own release cycle.
At the moment, I have each subproject as a separate Bugzilla component.
But the versions are Avalon-wide.
If there is a way to associate versions with components, that would be
handy.
But, we can probably manage as is.

Ok, it's back on... What do you guys want to do? (Include me in the reply,
as I'm not subs to the avalon-dev list)
