@juzhiyuan We could have a layout like below in the "getting started" section I recommended above (in contributor section), with all list of the repos and under each list head we have the `good first issues` for that repository.
On mobile -
On desktop -
Note that the number of issues you want visible in each is upto your recommendation, Clicking on an issue leads to its page. "More" leads to the GitHub repo issues page of the respective repo.
So, overall, a "want to contribute" section on homepage leads to the contribution section of the docs, where we have these. Need to now make that section.
**_I got a question, are we going to make this dynamic using GitHub API, or just static stock for now._**

@juzhiyuan we could add a "Want to contribute" kind of section to the homepage, with two buttons, one leading to the GitHub repo of APISIX, and one to the contributor guide page in docs (https://apisix.apache.org/docs/general/contributor-guide). There in this page we could add a get started section with the `good first issues` bundle (Comprising of the most recent) leading to the GitHub issues. How you like this ?
I am not putting issues on the homepage because we should put the things we do best on our front, i.e. homepage. This is what I personally have seen most of the times on other opensource project's websites too, putting their best first impression on the homepages. eg. - [flutter](https://flutter.dev/), [React](https://reactjs.org/) etc.
Its just a marketing tactic used by companies 😎
