[jira] [Created] (INFRA-6170) puppet leaves defunc processes (apt-get) on translate-vm2

jan iversen created INFRA-6170:
----------------------------------

Summary: puppet leaves defunc processes (apt-get) on translate-vm2
                 Key: INFRA-6170
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-6170
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
          Components: Puppet
         Environment: puppet, ubuntu 12.04
            Reporter: jan iversen
            Priority: Critical

every day, I find 3-4 defunct processes (apt-get), belonging to puppet. I see the same happen (but less processes and less frequent) on ooo-wiki2-vm.

It seems puppet and apt-get cannot agree, can it something as simple as responinng "yes". Defunct processes goes hand in hand, with a note during login, that there are packages to update.
