I'm sure this has been asked before...

I'm trying to get the latest build but have thus far been unsuccessful.
 
I'm executing: 
 
cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@cvs.apache.org:/home/cvspublic login
and entering anoncvs for the password per the instructions found here:


http://cocoon.apache.org/lenya/installation/cvs.html
 
but the connection is always refused.
 
I also tried:
cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.apache.org:/home/cvspublic login
with a blank password and had no luck there either.
 
Any suggestions?

This should work.

Does it only happen with the Apache CVS server?

Which OS are you using? What about the network connection?

Which error message do you get?
