[Bug 5916] Is the URI extractor being over-efficient here?

https://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/show_bug.cgi?id=5916

--- Comment #1 from James Wilkinson <Ja...@sparex.co.uk>  2008-06-04 03:02:45 PST ---
Sorry, not sure what happened there.

Thanks for a wonderful program!

I'm looking at an HTML e-mail containing
<td background=3D"5%" rowspan=3D"5">
SpamAssassin appears to consider that the "5%" might be a URI, and is looking
up 0.0.0.5 in all configured URIDNSBLs.

(I'm testing this by removing 'background=3D"5%' from the e-mail, and 0.0.0.5
goes away from the list of URIs in spamassassin -d -D -t < email.eml)

Are there really any HTML engines that will try loading a background from
0.0.0.5 (in which case SpamAssassin is perfectly justified in checking it)?

Otherwise, not checking 0.0.0.5 would take a bit of unnecessary load off the
URIBLS.

Thanks,

James.
