[jira] [Created] (INFRA-6649) Discontinue moderation of
bugs@httpd.apache.org
William A. Rowe, Jr. created INFRA-6649:
-------------------------------------------
Summary: Discontinue moderation of bugs@httpd.apache.org
Key: INFRA-6649
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-6649
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Task
Components: Mailing Lists
Reporter: William A. Rowe, Jr.
Please discontinue allow/deny moderation of posts to bugs@httpd.apache.org,
as we already correctly filter all mail originating from issues.a.o/bugzilla/ - all
non-/bugzilla/ traffic should be deny-all. Moderators may be retained for any
bugs-owner@ correspondence.
The following proposal was submitted for review 8 days ago, no negative feedback,
rpluem agreed this should cause no issues.

Subject: Moderation for bugs@httpd.apache.org?

X-Mailer: Claws Mail 3.9.0 (GTK+ 2.24.13; x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu)
There appears to be no purpose for moderating posts to bugs@httpd.apache.org
list, given that the filters written for accepting that mail already pass
any mails originating from i.a.o/bugzilla. At least, that's my understanding
and experience from moderating that list for the past years.
Since this is not a discussion list, can we shutter moderation for that list?
Any potential issues or side effects?
