Couldn't find or load essential class

Hello,

When I try to run JMeter, I get the following error :

"Couldn't find or load essential class `java/lang/Object'
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError java/lang/Object"

my JAVA_HOME var is set to the right directory, so what's wrong ?

thanks,
Patrice
