For non-alpha products I would only update the site each release. In that
case you
* run "ant site-docs"
* remove any no longer relevent pages, add any new pages
* commit
* ssh to jakarta.apache.org
* goto dir /www/jakarta.apache.org/avalon
* do a "cvs update -Pd" from there ;)
