[OT] Velocity + Delphi
Hi All,
I have a colleague who needs to do some html presentation from Delphi app
and for obvious reasons he would like to use a tool that is based on the
Velocity spec. Delphi do provide a reflection api for published
properties,
so I'm sure it cold be done.
My first question is pushing my luck a bit. Does anyone know about
something like this? I've searched for anything similar, but came up empty
handed. He'll probably be satisfied with anything that is relatively
similar.
We also spoke about implementing a Delphi version based on the Velocity
template spec. Nothing has been decided yet but it is a possibility and
we're just throwing some ideas around. I would like to have some
comments/suggestions. Would it for example be possible to do an
implementation that is endorsed by Jakarta Velocity? Are there other
developers out there who might contribute to a possible open source
initiative?

This would be very cool. I can't imagine that it has been done already
though - I would think that given the size of the Delphi market (or,
what it used to be) that there would be countless output solutions that
already exist.
I wonder if you could find an open-source one and modify it for Vel's
syntax?
